About this ebook

A brand new firefighter series from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!

✔️ Single father with axe-swinging hotness

✔️ Polar opposites attract

✔️ Barn burner chemistry with a serious slow burn 🔥🔥🔥🔥

✔️ Meet cute, corgi included

When a grumpy hotshot firefighter meets a homecoming queen from the city, all bets are off.

I don’t have time for romance, much less for prissy Madison Glen. The first time I meet her, I kiss her. The second time I meet her, she's breaking into my neighbor's house. She swears up and down she’s not a criminal. Maybe not, but she is definitely a distraction I don’t need.

I’ve got my hands full with my mouthy daughter and an insanely busy life as a hotshot firefighter. It doesn’t surprise me at all to learn Madison was homecoming queen in high school.

She’s stubborn, impractical, and she’d win the contest for least-likely to survive in small town Alaska. She’s also sultry and sassy. She’s everything I don’t need. It doesn’t matter what I tell myself though. I can’t keep my hands to myself when she’s around, and she kisses like a dream.

Keywords: Graham & Madison’s story is perfect for readers who love small town romance, hotshot firefighters, single father romance, alpha heroes, smart sassy heroines, frenemies to lovers, hate to love, opposites attract, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, plenty of steam and swoon, and a deeply protective grumpy hero.

*A full-length, standalone romance.

What a fantastic start to the new Light My Fire Series by J.H. Croix. If you love small twin romance you are going to love Graham and Madison’s journey, add in the fact he is a firefighter who is also a single dad to teenager Allie you get the perfect swoon worthy read. I was drawn b by the blurb but this story turned out so much more than I expected, I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final line so a word of warning please make sure you have time to finish what you start. Madison’s world has fallen apart and she needs a change of scenery so she has decided to up sticks and move with her trusted corgi to Alaska where she has inherited her grandfathers lodge. While on route she has an encounter with a moose and it’s Graham who comes to the rescue, than they find they are staying next door to each other in the same hotel well it seems fate is pushing this pair together so what harm would one kiss do after all they will never see each other again, imagine their surprise when a day later they realise they are now neighbours ……. This book has it all, it’s witty, it’s full of feel good moments, it has wonderful characters , it was a breath of fresh air to read a single dad romance with a teenager and it’s left me excited for what’s next in the Light My Fire Series.

This is book one in The Light My Fire Series and it is Graham and Madison's story and what a great start to a new series. When Madison's father was charged for fraud and her mother blamed Madison for not putting it right and all her so called friends didn't want to know her any more she decided to go to Alaska to the lodge that her grandfather had left her when he died and she decided that she would take the time to see what she wanted to do next with her life, so with her dog Wilbur they made the journey stopping occasionally and that was when she met Graham a handsome man that she couldn't stop staring at him. Graham was blown away by his reaction to Madison who was a beautiful woman travelling with her cute and friendly dog Wilbur but Graham didn't have time for attraction of distractions as he was a single father to his daughter Allie who was a real spitfire so between his daughter and his as a fire fighter in Willow Brook there wasn't time for anything else. Graham and Madison had such a strong connection and the chemistry between them was so hot that you can feel it sizzling of the pages of this book and I absolutely loved Graham's daughter Allie as she was so friendly, feisty, kind, caring and got on with everyone and Graham was such an amazing father. Omg I couldn't put this book down as it was so addictive and a real page turner that had you on the edge of your seat wondering what else would happen between Graham and Madison and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. J H Croix is an amazing author and writer and I absolutely love her books so much as she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Madison left Houston, TX to move to Willow Brook, Alaska. Her grandfather left her his hunting lodge and since her life wasn’t going well she thought it was a sign. She worked for her father as an actuary but he was arrested due to fraud. Graham is a single father raising his fourteen year old daughter Allie. He started a new job as the superintendent for a expansion hotshot firefighter crew. Allie’s mother left after she was born and hasn’t been back that often to visit. Instant sizzling chemistry between Madison and Graham. The storyline was well written and kept me entertained.
