A great little cottage industry, this recipe book is okay. As to the science, hahaha, lol! I was heavy once in my life how did I do it, just ate more, want to lose the weight I just ate less. So why did I buy additional books when I know the first one was not much more than a cottage industry. He did add some things to my knowledge of sweeteners, for example, was interesting to hear all the gluten-free nonsense. An herbalist, planning to get certified; a lifelong athlete. A fitness bum; I owned four gymnasiums. Was and co-owner of a restaurant and celebrity catering business. Planning to get down to the wait I was as a sophomore in school, currently I'm the same weight I was a senior in high school. In High School I wrestled heavyweight as a junior middleweight, that's illegal now. So, down to welterweight I go, 147lbs, 20 lb heavier than Bruce Lee in "Enter the Dragon." The current record for deadlifting for a welterweight is 711 lb, I deadlifted 660 lb, at the Y in Orange, NJ.

I have got to be completely honest here - the book was a bit boring... Definitely some interesting points are made. Really a great concept though that I've adopted and am seeing great results. He's just saying what we all already know deep down - eat clean. Cut out the processed food, eat whole foods. It was only $17 and there are some delicious recipes at the back of the book. I cheated after a few weeks of gluten-free and snuck half a cinnamon bun and had a nasty skin reaction so I'll be sticking with it for good!

This is a really good book. Very scientific, sometimes boring to read as it goes way too deep on the details, but it is a must to all of those who still believe on whole wheat products as a synonym for healthy food. I just don't think it covers all body types, the low carb craze is not necessarily healthy for an athlete with loe body fat who must ingest loads of calories and likes some treats here and there.
