Tim Jacquard was born and raised in Nova Scotia, where he attended college to study the culinary arts. After working in the food service industry, he joined the Army Reserve and later became an Artillery Man for the Regular Force. Following his return from Bosnia in 2001, he began his life-long struggle with chronic pain and PTSD, both of which occurred as a result of his military experiences. He was later released from the Canadian Forces.
Medical marijuana entered Tim’s life when pharmaceutical drugs failed to alleviate his pain. He researched extensively the effectiveness of tetrahydrocannabinol (TCH) and cannabidiol (CDB) in the treatment of pain and PTSD, and was personally amazed to discover the relief that these natural ingredients provided. Tim is now an advocate for the medical benefits of cannabis, and the healthier, smoke-free ways of ingesting it. Medical Edibles is his first book, synthesizing Tim’s research and cooking experience to bring healing into the lives of people suffering from such medical conditions.
