About this ebook

A USA Today Bestseller.

India and Matt thought all their problems would come to an end once they found Chronos. But the watch magician brings with him as many questions as answers, and a load of trouble. To fix Matt's magic watch, they must find an old diary that once belonged to a doctor magician murdered decades ago. The hunt drags them into a sordid mystery involving two of London's craft guilds. With old and new enemies determined to stop them, and long-held secrets unearthed, Matt and India must work together better than ever.

But as the reason for India's strangely strong magic is revealed, she wants to draw other magicians into the open, while Matt wants to hide magic to keep her safe.

Her plan backfires. His plan shatters. And danger comes to their door.

I really enjoy this series - love the characters and concepts. Some great plot twists. This installment felt really slow and very drawn out. I'd like to see more getting resolved in each book.

i was really enjoying the mysteries and magic of the series. the magic is getting a bit thin with how specific it is. even the author doesn't seem to know how the extremely specific magic can be useful. how does magic even evolve into such specific categories as ink, paper, watches, apothecary, doctor, etc. it's much too specific and it fades. what good is it then? it just doesn't make sense. the angst and drama of the relationships is now just frustrating. india and matt don't talk to each other. india is blind when it comes to people but matt is just as blind with his cousins. their people skills are infuriating. ultimately, i read to find some enjoyment and entertainment. this is starting to just irritate me. they need to get their relationships figured out instead of dragging it on like a soap opera. on top of the increasingly frustrating relationships and waning mysteries, the books are short enough that i'm blowing through them in a day and they are 5 bucks a piece. that's too steep for me.
