Ratings and reviews

Mystery and intrigue, human nature, magicks...it has everything. This book continues the adventures of Vin and Elend and the original crew from Book 1. It contains enough clues to keep you entertained, but the mystery of it is complex and intense. The lore is interesting at every step and the world feels complete, as if Brandon Sanderson knew what was happening in the background and was patiently walking us through the foreground of an well-thought-out world.

This is a thrilling story. Such an intense adventure. I loved watching the characters change and bloom along the way. The new characters are intriguing and definitely added some new aspects to to the current dynamic. The continued world building is wonderful. The plot is one twisty ride from start to finish. The things that the characters have to go through is insane. My heart went out to the characters and definitely felt times throughout this story. Great story. I do recommend!

When I wasn't sure if it could top The Final Empire it did. Somehow Sanderson is able to write extremely Cinematic fantasy. It doesn't feel like you are reading a book, but watching a film that you live through. Everything is well breathed through. The World feels more alive.
