About this ebook

Only the greatest sacrifice can turn the tide of war.

War is brewing in the fifth book of the #1 bestselling Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas.

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius as war looms on the horizon. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves increasingly at odds with those who don't.

With her heart sworn to the warrior-prince by her side and her fealty pledged to the people she is determined to save, Aelin will delve into the depths of her power to protect those she loves. But as monsters emerge from the horrors of the past, dark forces stand poised to claim her world. The only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may take more from Aelin than she has to give, a quest that forces her to choose what-and who-she's willing to sacrifice for the sake of peace.

Kingdoms collide in this fifth book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series.

Great book, exceptional storytelling. Only problem I had was how many times Maas used "hissed" or "snarled" as a literary element. Its just over the top. Also, there's just too much filler in Queen of Shadows. Just get to the point. Sometimes Maas isn't the best at naming either. The Kingdom of Meah. What is that? Its a kingdom that doesn't believe in itself. Also, Adarlan? She could've done better. Other than the constant overuse of the "snarl" literary element and really subpar naming Mass is exceptional for her engaging descriptions of action sequences. The horror and romance she weaves throughout the series is excellent in every way. I snarled in satisfaction when i completed this review.

I cannot express how much I love this book, it's characters and the crazy, mind blowing turn of events throughout it. I lost many hours of sleep for this book (both to read it and after reading parts of it that kept my mind reeling for hours after) and I would gladly do it all again. I don't reread many books but I bet I will read this one many times over the years and love it just as much every time.

So many twists and turns had me actually putting the book down to connect the dots. I love it! The characters, as always, are so well written. Also, I love Elide.
