I am not used to such low-intensity paranormal action and lack of steamy romance from Laura Greenwood. However, it fits this storyline. Blood and Deceit is a standalone book in the Necromancer Council series. The main characters, Tabitha and Rick, are cute, engaging, and most definitely belong together. They will make a dynamic duo in future stories in which they might appear. Though the storyline felt a bit thrown together in places, the book was an entertaining quick read.

I love the Paranormal Council Universe by Laura Greenwood. You get everything you want from a paranormal world with some twists and turns sometimes thrown in. Love Tabitha and how her mate turns out to be not what she expected. The action, suspense, and love will have you not being able to put the book down. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was not my favorite from the Paranormal Council series but it wasn’t so bad I couldn’t finish. There were scenes that just didn’t make sense and we didn’t get to know the characters very well. Tabitha is a very confused young woman. Rick is okay but short on explanations that would have made everything easier to understand. I didn’t get a feeling for how they felt about each other, they were both kind of flat. I am a fan of this author but this book didn’t do it for me. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
