Brandon is looking for his friend John following the apocalypse. When he bumps into John's sister, Hayley, he forges a connection with her. All three are empath witches, which is an awful thing to be following an apocalypse with all the emotions swilling around. So much so that John died from overload. Will this bond between Hayley and Brandon help them or make his struggles worse. Great fourth book in the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Finding a future after world’s end. The end of the world was especially hard on empath witches and many did not survive, including Hayley’s brother John. Seeing his best friend, Brandon, at Purple Oasis triggers the type of emotion that can make empath witches dangerous. Their magic can project and hurt others. Is it too dangerous to reminisce about John with Brandon or it is better to stay completely away from each other? This is a short, sweet romance. I enjoy the characters in this series.

we learn more about empath witch Haylee and the brother she lost post apocalypse- another empathetic witch who did not survive the wave of emotions in the aftermsth. Brandon was once hid best friend. Can these two survive shared grief, and perhaps move beyond to something new? intense emotional drama and romance
