About this ebook

Power isn’t everything. But in Uttira, it’s all that matters.

The truth is harder to face than I ever imagined. I’ve made too many mistakes to count. So, no more failures. No more running. It’s time to embrace what I am.

Eliana thought she had everything under control. However, she discovered just how wrong she was. She’s been feeding from Fenris in her sleep, and now he’s bound to her in ways she never wanted. She knows she needs to let him go; yet with him, she could have the one thing she’s secretly wanted. A mate for life.

To make matters worse, Adira pushes her to enjoy Fenris while Raiden is doing everything possible to keep the two apart. Including bringing back the one person who would willingly kill Eliana to have Fenris for herself. Tired of it all, Eliana does what she’s been fighting not to do for so long: She embraces what she is.

It’s time for the people in power to feel what it’s like to be a puppet. And when she’s done, the world will be on its knees.

Warning: Contains an affection-starved werewolf, a brownie fond of public exhibition, and a succubus on the edge.

This is a book that I have been waiting for and as always it;s absolutely amazing. Melissa is truly a gifted author. The Fates and Furies series was our introduction to the world of Mantirum and all the different creatures that lived there. The Kiss and Claw series gives us a much deeper understanding of how the children of the gods structure their society and run things. Even as I look forward to reading the In Fire and Ash series, I must applaud this book. Eliana has kept her hunger at bay by sheer will power. Her inherent strength and pure nature is what endears her. Fenris, what can I say about this playful, supportive and possessive werewolf. He's absolutely perfect for her. Their antics kept me smiling. And the bonus was reading about their future. They really truly deserve all that happiness.

This was a good ending to the book series. I like that Eliana finally accepted the succubus part herself but still stayed true to herself. I liked that we got to see some of the other characters develop while stayed the same. I liked that we got a little more insight into what they're thinking. I definitely liked Piepen a lot more in this book than I did in previous ones. He made me laugh out loud a couple of times. That scene in club Blayz was funny. I liked that an epilogue was included. It's always nice to see a snapshot of the future for characters that you have followed for years. I'm really looking forward to the next two series. Of the books in this series this one is my favorite. The angst the characters feel hit you right in the heart. There were parts of the book that had me laughing out loud and others that had me tearing up and ripping my heart out. I would recommend this book.
