I love this better than the original vampire diaries book series, maybe because it added a lot of detail and got straight to the point at the same time. If you watched the show it will be even more interesting because you can start from any book 1,2,3and know whats happening (and you already know how they look like). Fan girl warning though, Damon is so adorable and almost innocent in the beginning of this series.. Stefan is the more "corrupt" one. (Eventually you will see them become their normal selves.)

I actually have the book and it's a great book to read and its also a great way for people who never seen the show to get into it.
