About the author

Dr. Mohammad Nabil Almunawar is currently an associate professor at the School of Business and Economics, Universiti of Brunei Darussalam (UBDSBE), Brunei Darussalam. Hwe wasthe former dean of UBDSBE. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1983 from Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia, master’s degree (MSc) from the Department of Computer Science, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada in 1991, and Ph.D in Computer Science/Information Systems from the University of New South Wales in 1998. Dr. Almunawar has published more than 100 papers in refereed journals, books, book chapters, encyclopedias, and international conference proceedings. He has more than 30 years of teaching experience in the area of information systems. His overall research interests include applications of IT in management, e-business/commerce, digital marketplace/platform, digital business ecosystem, health informatics, information security, and cloud computing. Currently, he focuses his research on digital transformation, digital marketplace, digital platform, and digital business ecosystem.

Muhammad Anshari is a Senior Assistant Professor in Business Information Systems at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam School of Business and Economics (UBDSBE), and currently serves as Deputy Director for the Institute of Policy Studies. He has been named on the Stanford University List of Top 2% World Researchers since 2022 for the categories of ICT, Business & Management. Together with colleagues from UBDSBE and IPS, winning the Outstanding Paper award at the Emerald Literati Awards 2023 for two published papers. Patent Impact: His research has also been referenced in two patents, US Patent 10,999,416, 2021, and US Patent 11,489,906, 2022. Following the completion of his PhD at FBEPS UBD, Dr. Anshari worked as a research fellow at National Taiwan University. Before that, in 2009, he was a research fellow at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.

Dr Hjh Syamimi is a Lecturer in the School of Business and Economics and the Acting Director of E-Government Innovation Centre at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Her research interests include E-Government, E-commerce, E-learning, Change management and motivation issues. [Editor]
