How many must pay the price before she can find him? She is very determined and this quest has consumed the last three years of her life. When Sam Murdock enters her life again she gets a glimpse of what might be. Sam Murdock, a Portland police detective, must overcome his past to be truly able to live in the future. He is determined not to let anyone else die on his watch. Yet protecting Kait and hunting down a killer may be more than he can control. Sam and Kait must both deal with their past before there is a possibility of a future, but will Fenton Rhodes end it all before it can get started? This is an amazing novel full of thrilling mystery, suspense, surprise and romance. I would recommend this book anyone who enjoys a good, clean contemporary, FBI type romance. It is definitely hard to put down and keeps you reading way into the night. I look forward to reading more about the characters in this book. I was given a copy of this book from the author and Net Galley for my honest opinion.

I love to see characters grow in their faith and the bad guys caught. Suspense is the adrenaline rush that keeps me wanting more. Good read.

Susan sleeman is a new author for me, this was a great read with plenty of twists and turns along the way. Can't wait for more.
