Novita Wijayanti dilahirkan di Jember pada tanggal 22 November 1980. Menyelesaikan studi S1 dan S2 di Jurusan Teknologi Hasil Pertanian, Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya. Bekerja sebagai dosen di Program Studi Ilmu dan Teknologi Pangan, Fakultas Teknologi Pangan, Universitas Brawijaya Malang mulai tahun 2005 sampai dengan sekarang.
