Absolutely the worst airline app I've used. Flight details in the app are non-existent, you have to go to the mobile website to get any info. Other apps at least link to their mobile site. Worse, the app stops working if you don't use it for a few days. The last couple trips I have had on AA I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app just to check in and get my boarding pass, even on separate legs of the same trip. AA is horrible all around as an airline, and they live down to that here.

Doesn't let me check in, doesn't let me view my boarding pass, and sometimes doesn't even show the flight. It also stays out of date (gate, seat, etc.) by like a week. While this was never "the greatest app in the world" it at least used to be functional. Now, not only is it useless, it's an active hinderance by giving you inaccurate information.

This app is useful for a number of reasons, such as checking into a flight and checking baggage, and receiving gate change and delay info. Unfortunately, AA seems to use it to lie to customers. It will tell you you're leaving at 500 when it's 530 and there's no plane at the gate. It will reference aircraft maintenance when there's no such thing as maintenance when a plane is supposed to be flying; we call that "repair," but the airline evidently doesn't want us to know what repair is required.
