Boarding Pass on the Go
Get mobile boarding passes for all passengers on your trip 24 hours in advance. Southwest passes have rich color and bold font, which makes seeing your Gate and Boarding Position very clear. Find the details you need quickly: Flight Number, Confirmation Number, Boarding Time, Tier Status, and TSA Pre-Check. Don’t forget to add your Mobile Boarding Passes to Google Pay!

Travel Funds
You can now use Flight Credits, Southwest LUV Vouchers and Gift Cards when changing your flight in the app. Your unused Southwest® Flight Credits show up automatically when you tap ‘View Funds’ within ‘My Account’.

Ratings and reviews

The biggest problem I have with it is in the booking process. If the date I choose isn't available instead of just giving me the options of days that are available, it closes the entire search out and I have to start over again. It doesn't make any sense, It seems like a glitch and I thought it was just my phone but my wife has the same problem. Also if you change the sort to "price" & go to the next day it reverts to the default. Hasn't changed in the 7 years I've used it

So buggy when it comes to buying an upgraded position, though it might be because the backend technology. I had issues last October (2022) buying a position upgrade after checking in, and now for my next flight (July 2023), it's still giving me similar issues! It's like they don't have a competent technology stack... Oh wait, they don't. And their app suffers because of it.

This is probably the worst airline app I've ever used. It's shame because the airline itself is usually pretty good. The things that make this app so not user friendly: 1. When I purchase a flight it does not show up under "My Trips." 2. You have to have a confirmation number to look up your trip information. Why aren't there more ways to see the purchases you've made? 3. When you are looking for trips and want to look at alt dates it's an ordeal to reset the search parameters.
