worst cellular service experience ever! hidden fees when trying to purchase a new device. large hidden fee! very slow data. lucky to load a web page in 2 minutes if it loads at all. confusing plans comparisons on the website. device trade in cancelled and no explanation or notification about it. left me stuck with no way to communicate and it is a necessity for work. caused nothing but stress and grief! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I love Consumer Cellular and their customer service "rocks", at least from my experience with grandpad and cellphone, but the app needs help. I don't use it much because I feel is pretty much useless. As others have stated, it makes you log in everytime and seemingly forgets your number and password. I've written mine down as to not forget myself but it never seems to work. Maybe there's a timeout period, where it forgets the info if you don't use the app, not sure.

Prior to the update the app was excellent. I could open it without having to log in and now I have to every time despite saving my password to the phone. And most of the time it just spins and never lets me in. Everything was clear and basic. It didn't need to be "fancied up". The one time I got in, I wasn't able to scroll down the page to update my payment information.
