Absolutely brilliant for learning some basic Japanese, a great way to start if you're thinking of learning the language. I wish the full version was a little less expensive. The app also gives very encouraging prompts to keep to a schedule of learning for at least 5 minutes a day. I feel as if the voice lines could be redone with better recording equipment however. Overall a good app thats definitely a good use of your time if you're looking to learn the language.

This is a good app for words and small, useful phrases, and good for practicing. I've been using the free version for ages with a view to upgrading but it occasionally freezes and doesn't allow any input. The timer in the background keeps going though, so I'll look at a frozen screen for a few minutes then be told my time is up. This is incredibly frustrating and the sole reason I haven't upgraded. This morning it happened once to often and now I'm uninstalling it, regretfully.

I just started learning with this app. 5 minutes isn't long enough. We should get a set a day to make things easier to learn, remember, and revise. When done in 5 minutes, you could be halfway through a set, or have finished a set ages ago. This is why I took a star off. The 2nd star came off due to the fact that translations are really slow, and the sound is not in sync with the time that you press for the translations. There's an overall delay/lag in the app that needs to be fixed. 3/5
