Lots of ad banners. Sometimes ad banners don't let you do anything but close the app and start over again. Pathetic! Hard to believe this is IRCTC official app meant for ticket booking. Day by day, they are making the app a junk, adding unnecessary features that have nothing to do with rail. Keep it focused, simple, relevant and easy to use.

In the absence of an option of no star, I'm giving it one star. Every time I exit the app, even when I proceed to pay for tickets, this application logs out automatically and compels to fill log-in credentials again. This doesn't allow you to book tickets on time, and the majority of the times payments fail. There is a crucial need to invest something in this least accommodating, least user-friendly, disconcertingly discomforting digital ticket booking system.

In the IRCTC app, when you use your wallet amount for booking, the amount gets deducted instantly. If the booking fails, it takes around 4 working days to get the refund, which is inconvenient. Also, there’s no option to transfer the wallet balance back to your bank account — customer care just says to use it for your next booking. But I travel only once a year, so the wallet money just stays unused. There should be an option to withdraw or transfer it back.
