Ratings and reviews

We have had 4 cameras set up for a couple years now. Live mode works but it doesn't seem to record motion any longer. I have never received a notification in all the years I have had the system. All settings are on. I could previously see recording on TV but it seems to skip every 2 seconds or so leaving gaps in the recording. We wasted a lot of money having it installed properly for very little reason. I will be switching everything over to ring cameras in the spring. I wouldn't recommend this.

They no longer are doing updates for the model I have. No info sent regarding this issue. Everything was fine until this morning when i lost contact with my device and went through the self help article they have online. After deleting and reinstalling the app, i got a notification that the app only supports older Android so i emailed night owl. They don't *do* technical assistance in email, only through live chat.Looks like I'll be buying a different security system.

The cameras and equipment was a great by but, after the first couple of weeks the app just started giving me nothing but problems, the motion sensor was going off saying there was disturbances but got no pictures, couldnt connect to or lack of stay connected to watch. "If" you can get the video loaded, it is very distorted on the "attempt to zoom in"Ucant hear on the audio speakers volume is barely a whisper over 'the loudspeaker!. The equipment quality is well built. But the TECH IS GARBAGE. T
