NOTE ON GPS SUPPORT: Strava depends on GPS for recording activities. In some devices, the GPS does not work properly and Strava will not record effectively. If your Strava recordings show poor location estimation behavior, please try to update the operating system to the most recent version. There are some devices which have consistently poor performance with no known remedies. On these devices, we restrict installation of Strava, for example the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 and the Galaxy Express 2. Used to work great, but after the recent update a couple weeks ago the app is no longer working. Keeps saying "an error has been corrected" when trying to record trips. The GPS, distance, speed, and routes are all inaccurate. Wish they wouldn't have tried to fix something that wasn't broken. It's also annoying that they're always trying to push the paid subscription on users, even though it offers only slightly more usable features vs the free app did before it became full of errors.

The GPS tracking is off at least 50% of the time I use it. It constantly cuts corners and sections of my route off. I know the issue isn't my device because I can record accurate routes with other apps. Just as bad, is there is no way to upload a gpx file on the mobile app, so if I want accurate routes, I have to record it with another app, export the gpx file, transfer it to a laptop, and then upload it from the web.

There isn't enough space here for me to describe how awful the paid version is. One tedious example: when I have a new PR, I can't immediately see what my previous time was, so I have no idea how much better I did. To do that, you have to click a few more buttons, tabs, and checkboxes in order to find your list of previous times (and i'm only being slightly hyperbolic here). this app is just too poorly designed (probably to allow the paywall aspect to work easier) to be practical.

Hi there. We fixed a couple bugs and made some performance improvements, so the app should now be almost as speedy as you. Have fun out there!
