About this app

Wake Lock gives you access to Android's Power- and WifiManager.
You can use it on any Android phone or tablet.

Examples of what it can do for you:
• Force the PowerManager to keep the screen on
• Have the CPU still running in standby mode
• Ensure the Wifi connection keeps running at full performance
• Keep the screen on in full brightness or dimmed mode during movies
• Override power saving measures if they are causing issues

This is the modernized version of my app "WakeLock - PowerManager".

What the permissions are used for:
• WAKE_LOCK, to obviously be allowed to acquire wakelocks.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, to start the app after device reboots.
• READ_PHONE_STATE, to act on start/ending calls, allowing the app to acquire a lock just for the duration of the call.
• INTERNET, for automatic crash tracking. There is an option to disable this, but why would you 🙁?

Fixed my Note 4 issues - so really happy about that. Only comment is that the CPU lock pauses occasionally for no reason I can discern. I have disabled power optimisation but still happens. Not a big deal to switch it back on again. Saved my phone - thanks darken. Update. CPU lock pauses now seem to have gone away. All is very good and I for one am very happy.

This app gets the job done. I am using it on my Samsung Galaxy S5 and it solved my CPU issue. My S5 octa core now runs normal and remains on standby. I was ready to crush my Note 4 since it would go into a coma shortly after screen off. It would take twenty minutes with the battery out to even reboot. This app saved my Note 4. It actually works (unlike an app of a similar name). Battery use is only minimally more than deep sleep. Thanks guys
