VpnService Utilization: If you enable VPN by Guardian, the eero app will utilize Android's VpnService to set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to help keep your device private and secure.

Ratings and reviews

Eventually worked, but don't believe the spiel about all your wireless devices automatically changing over to the new router -- this is nonsense. I had to manually re-install the wifi network on every device in the building (and every single app on my TV), which took me most of an afternoon, as none of them recognised it as the same network despite the name and password remaining the same. I expect to do this with a new router, but I don't expect to be sold one as doing something it doesn't.

Nightmare android setup. 10 minutes to set up on neighbour's iphone, but only after spending two hours continually changing settings, rebooting, reading forums while trying to set up in android. Does. Not. Work. Now it's set up its great, fast, good coverage, fantastic access control so I can stop the kids sneaking down at 5am trying to watch TV without having to find ever more inventive places to hide the remotes.

Once set up they're a breeze to install. However it took 3 hours to get there. After speaking with support I read the app reviews. If you have reduce animations enabled on your Samsung devices you cannot set up the router. Disable it and it will work. Go figure I'm as stumped as you reading this. Nothing on the support site from what I can see and the issue has been around since April based on the reviews. Simply it should be fixed and a detection built into the app if animations are needed.
