Ratings and reviews

Robinhood's cost basis reporting is confusing and can lead to unexpected gains or losses. I assumed my average cost would be used, but a different method was applied without making it clear. New investors should understand their cost basis settings before selling. Double-check your tax lots, or you could end up with results you didn't expect, like I did.

It's easy to navigate compared to others, but in a constant deficit, it never used to be that way. I'm not sure how when no others are. The GOLD card is not really good, the balance available says $0, but I owe a $0 balance. Never even get notified for the time sensitive sales they have, even though I turn on the notify me options... by far my least favorite investment app.

So glad I've used this app, but it's got many annoyances, and the annoyances are growing. As of June 20, 2026, it has "prediction markets" (which I haven't used) showing at the TOP of my main page even above my actual positions. That and how it brings up stock lending regularly both feel pushy. Price alerts haven't worked for me in years. Lastly, I can no longer trust the app's listed history of my transactions on any given stock because I've found entries missing in the past. >:(
