It got slow after the latest updates. The previous versions read the card immediately at the moment the card was tapped on the phone. Now, it's necessary to open the app and 2 clicks to finally get to tap the card and check the balance. Besides, the app takes longer to fully open after these updates.

It appears that there's no way to check the verification code for online purchases made with the Octopus MasterCard on the app. The code is only visible in the notification. However, if you press on the notification, it opens the app, which does not provide an option to view the verification code, and the notification disappears. Btw, the app is still not stable when linking with external apps, like the bank apps and, particularly, the Samsung Wallet for the Samsung Octopus.

Are you kidding me!?!?!?! travelling to Honk Kong and am told I need an Octopus Card. This company decided not to make an app for Android. The tourist app is only available for iOS, can't use this one if you are not a Hong Kong resident. A company decides that a phone with 70% market share doesn't need an app. Unbelievable.
