Ratings and reviews

After a few months of using TomTom versus Google Maps and Waze I'm really impressed as it's slightly better. Although it's missing a crucial element, being able to customize toll roads (as in Waze). At the moment has only 2 options: all or none, which is not very helpful on long roads such as via Austria and Germany. Sometimes gives routes through one way streets but the wrong way, the speed limits are not up to date, but these are minor issues and easily avoidable.

I really like this navigation app. I like the route view when driving, there is no un needed distraction, just the right information at a right time, and overal design is good. But one thing is really annoying and this is to do with the route bar. I like the route info on the route bar, but that all info disappears in speed camera mode, and if there are a lot of speed came zone, then you are left without route info. Please TOMTOM combine those views into one view on the bar.

A great app from TomTom that is capable of replacing a standalone sat nav. Accurate routing, trafic, speed cameras and fast rerouting. There are a couple of areas where it needs to improve, notably motorway lane guidance which is just confusing and does little to assist. This is a shame as the original guidance graphic on a TomTom, and the iOS app, is much clearer. Finally the zoom button is hidden and often makes an appearance when you are trying to access the menu or recentering the map.
