Why WordPress?

There are a lot of blogging services, website builders, and social networks out there. Why create your website with WordPress?

WordPress powers over a third of the web. It’s used by hobby blogs, businesses of all sizes, online stores, even the biggest news sites on the internet. Odds are that many of your favorite websites are running on WordPress.

With WordPress, you own your own content. Other social networks treat you as a commodity, and assume ownership of the content you post. But with WordPress anything you publish is yours, and you can take it with you wherever you’d like.

Whether you need a website builder to create your website, or a simple blog maker, WordPress can help. It gives you beautiful designs, powerful features, and the freedom to build anything you want.

Absolutely horrible app. Building or correcting a site with this app is impossible. The Desktop site is bad as it is, full of bugs and glitches, yet this app has 10x more of that. Blanks and disappearances, sudden shifts. Wordpress makes me depressed, I'll call it "WordDepress" from now on. (2023) 2024 edit: App is still unberably bad. Thumbnails do not load, images do not load, images are undeleteable from blocks, app is missing LOTS of content.

I'm so sick of companies making dumb decisions, and I never thought I'd have to open a separate app just to see my stats. Unbelievably stupid, I don't understand the reasoning behind it. I will be uninstalling both from my phone because I DON'T WANT ANY MORE APPS. THERE IS AN APP FOR EVERYTHING, AND NOW THE APPS NEED SEPARATE APPS JUST TO SHOW YOU BASIC INFORMATION. Its like these developers think we only have one or two apps on our devices or they want them to run slower.

We separated Jetpack features into a new app to better cater to different user needs based on extensive feedback. The Jetpack app offers comprehensive site management tools, including stats, while the WordPress app focuses on writing and publishing. We understand this change might be inconvenient, and we appreciate your understanding and feedback.

This application, WordPress, offers an invaluable platform for daily journaling or blog writing. Its user-friendly interface enables me to document my thoughts, memories, and experiences effortlessly. What sets WordPress apart is its ability to serve as a reliable repository for my recollections, providing a digital diary of sorts. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals with memory challenges, offering a backup of cherished moments and insights.

What's new

We fixed assorted crashes on the login and Posts List screens, as well as actions associated with blogging reminders, feature images, and user removal. Less crashing? How smashing.
