I've only had it for 10 minutes but it's better than I expected. I was looking for something I can launch and add a quick note (without clicking an extra step to add a txt note vs image, etc). This launches quick and is simple. Even better, I can connect to notes online. (If I type up my grocery list on the laptop, they show up in my app. Yay!)
It's a must app for every smartphone. It has a very fast indexing of words and high-lighting inside notes. One small request is please add "tag searching option and multi tagging check box inside each notes" -for fast work progress. I deleted other note taking apps as it has very best simple and organizing tools for making notes. Please improve with the options which I mentioned. Thanks alot.
This app was great until they make you sign up with account. They say it's so they can save your notes on their server. I DON'T WANT MY NOTES ON YOUR SERVER. It's the only reason I used to use this app, so I can have notes that AREN'T in the cloud somewhere. Now I need to look elsewhere.
What a great little note taking app! I use it daily as a rough note book. My job as a SysAdmin and developer requires me to capture a lot of notes to & from my Mac and remote servers. Simplenote makes it a breeze to paste code/log snippets from here & there. Works like a charm 😊 An app from WordPress developers can never disappoint.
Great app. Very simple. Have used it for a long time without issue. Exactly what I wanted. However, I see that new users are required to make an account to use the app. If this is implemented to older downloads, I will be uninstalling and finding a different app. Making an account should be an optional feature for extra security. Should not be mandatory for a note taking app. Will no longer be "simple" if forced account creation is necessary. Food for thought.
1. Full cross platform Markdown support. Not much use if it doesn't work everywhere. 2. Full open file access with options to sync across Dropbox, Drive, Synthing, etc. and note encryption. Frankly, having the apps open source and forcing users to use your proprietary sync service across your own servers just comes across as suspicious. What do you have to gain when your apps are open and free anyway?
* New users of the app must sign in with a Simplenote account.
* Minor UI and reliability improvements.
