Simplenote is one of the best note-taking apps on any platform, and has been for a long time. The ONLY thing I would beg to have added to the Android app is font support, so that I could possibly use a monospaced font and preserve a bit of spacing and formatting.

How could I live without it? OK, I'll be honest - I only found out about Simplenote today, but I already can't imagine my daily workflows without it. Two things I'd love to see in Android version are: dark theme and markdown support. Saw replies on other comments that it's in the works, so can't wait to get it.

Easily the best note taking app. Easily one of my top five favourite apps. A native windows desktop app like the OSX app would be cool. Thanks

Simply Beautiful Can't express how happy am I. Would be amazing with these additions: 1 - Text formatting. 2 - A toggle for light and dark themes on main screen. 3 - Full B&W theme for amoled displays. 4 - Apply 1, 2 & 3 ASAP without fail. 😎

Markdown Support? I see that the desktop versions of Simplenote supports markdown. I hope to see this feature in the mobile apps soon. Loving it so far, great alternative to the very bloated Evernote. I just really really need the full markdown support.

Good app. Syncs beautifully My only complaint is the lack of auto correct and the suggestion box above the keyboard working within the app. Please fix!

Great cross-platform note-taking software! Love it but the only thing I'd like to see is auto-save like Google Docs

Beautiful interface This app is by far the best note taking app. The minimalist interface is easy to navigate and features like a night mode give it the advantage in other apps. Was amazed when I found out that the app is free with no in app purchases! Its also a very small app so perfect for those with little storage.

Trying to dump Keep because of horrible user interface. Checked OneNote but it was just too much for my need. I like Automattic so decided to check out Simplenote. I love the fact that it has versioning which is not present on Keep and OneNote. I do not like the typeface used by the official apps. I would like to get proper checkboxes for lists. Tagging system is quite annoying as it retains accidentally entered tags and the suggestion feature is nowhere as smooth as WordPress. It also ends up adding a ghost tag with my email address at the end of every note even when I have already entered it as a tag. I would have liked if notes could have proper titles. I would have liked if tags could have spaces in between like WordPress. Love the fact that I can quickly share a note over the web public. Sticking with it for the time being largely because of versioning feature. Also please… Add support for fingerprint authentication… I have a 6P and it’s a shame that none of the apps I use make use of the feature for authentication even after six months of the launch of the phone!

i like this app but there is 1 thing wich is sooo irritating n that is that it do not ask whether to save the changes or not? it suddenly saves the note when we touch the back key due to this i have lost many important notes the developers are requested to plz look after this problem n plz try to fix it or i will be switching over to new app

A few irritations. As soon as I write a string of 5 numbers or more (ref numbers, catalogue numbers...etc.) it automatically turns into a link. Please update with an option to turn this feature OFF. UI needs a facelift... get rid of that childish 'material design' button, previous versions (with + sign in top right corner) was more grown-up. Apart from that it's excellent for syncing - it's a simple note-taking app, and doesn't pretend to be anything else.

Nice and clean, although I would really love simple things added like underline or bold :P just so I can organize and create agendas better **Edit** -App still retains 5 star rating, big thanks to the dev for clarification! Also, as a suggestion, when a user first uses the app, give a mini tutorial or maybe tell them about the markdown?

Best Note Taking app. ever. Simplenote is simply the best. I use it on my browser, mobile, desktop anywhere I want. As the name suggests, this is simple to use but not less effective than any other note taking app in the world. Evernote is pretty fatty app and a child to this grandfather of this note taking app. Simply the best. Best of luck, developers. Thank you.

Good but Please please please add an undo or restore button, the amount of times I've lost something is ridiculous. Sometimes it's because I'll select text and hit the wrong button, paste instead if copy or hit a key, usually while I'm trying to select all the text. Or in the most recent case I hit the home button while trying to select the last sentence and when I came back to the app, everything that was selected was gone. Love this app otherwise

Simply one of the best note taking apps out there Why is this App awesome? Because there are No Ads, Syncs to the cloud, Has a web client (you can edit,create and read your notes on your computer), has a super clean interface, no gimmicks, no fluff, no in-app purchases and all that BS and best of all its FREE. Definitely one Rad app you got there!

Waaay too simple, and no background sync Great app if you're looking for simple note taking with no bells and whistles. Tagging notes works very well. Unlike Evernote and OneNote, the app syncs instantly and reliably. However, sync only works while using the app (in foreground mode), and never in the background. So multi-device use cases are very crippled.

Thank you for developing a simple straight forward app to keep lists of things. Too many apps are over developed and Try to do 1000 things none of them well. Grocery shopping got easy again!

My favorite note app I've used the local note app and Evernote before finding simplenote. Simplenote has excellent cross platform support- I edit notes using vim under Linux on my laptop, then moments later view and make changes using this app. Thanks for providing this app, team. It works really well.

My most important note vanished My to-do list note has vanished. It's not in trash. I can see no way to recovery it. :/
