I needed a free, easy to use recording app to have a record of reoccurring sometimes violent emotional abuse I have been dealing with for many years. This one works well & seemed to be what I needed since it didn't make any noises & I use my phone as usual except microphone & it continues to record. I noticed today it has taken $10.79 out of my PayPal. NOT COOL! Theres a $2.99 plan, but it chose higher $ one. I cancelled. I'm on SSDI & must watch each penny. I NEED MY MONEY BACK PLEASE!!

You can't append new recorded audio to a file once it's saved which is a huge weakness imo. If you record a lot of thoughts or musical ideas or anything, this means your library can quickly become very cluttered. There also doesn't seem to be any timestamped note taking functionality. These are both pretty simple and helpful functions. I would easily trade the auto-transcription feature for either of these.

I use it daily on my Pixel 7A, it works well with the device mics, even in large rooms. The transcript often picks up what I can barely hear. Doesn't remember speaker id's between recordings. No editing tools such as to break up several meetings in one recording. You can't download the recording or transcript from search results. You can save transcript to Drive, you can use Google backup feature to download everything periodically. Works, but more notable for intentional design restrictions.
