Edit: the app is now working much better than it has before. I will admit that the problems were not just the app but from a user perspective. live and learn and grow from the mistakes. a full 5 star from me. While I love H.A. and the incredible things it does, the android app recently has been garbage. It's constantly crashing 15-20 times a day. It also continuously logged out every day due to the crashes. Really hope they get a better fix so I can use this in the future.

the battery drain is just a deal breaker I'm sorry... I love home assistant and it's changed the way I use my smart devices, it's awesome.. but this companion app has the worst battery drain I've ever seen. half my phone battery used in a single day on just this app. all due to video stream from cameras most likely... but this needs fixing, your web app does not have this issue and also streams the same cameras. edit, this the same on chrome too

Update: needed to use hairpin instead of local DNS. Recent update seems to have broken local / remote network traversal. Gets stuck reconnecting when switching between local or remote or vice versa. Doesn't occur when using a chrome browser session.
