About this app

The NS app is the official planning application for the Dutch Railways.

The app has the following features:

- Realtime journey planner
- Timetable of departing trains per station
- Summary of Planned work and disruptions
- Station specific information regarding facilities and shops
- Notifications regarding delays of a saved trip


Permissions:
- We use your location to show nearby train stations
- We use permissions for "Photo's/media/files" to save temporary files for Google Maps. This allows maps shown in the app to be faster. The app doesn't use or have access to your pictures or other media.

Doesnt inform you about route changes automatically. Therefore spent extra time in the maze I could have spent being productive since also internet wasnt working in first class on the actual trein seperate from the app. Also, the app constantly kicks you out and the fact you cant use it and need a card is also redundent and a burden! Lost a ticket and doesnt upload all tickets! Had to buy same tickets twice! Garbage! We need a hansa!

The app logs you out every few days. Even without updating. Why? It also doesn't show you the shortest route, earliest arrival or options at a transfer station, but only intentionally bad options that the app thinks it's best for you. Seems eerily like the "dating app" strategy, it wants to keep you in the train for as long as possible within a route.

3 months ago I forgot to check out somewhere which was already corrected but with every check in I keep getting notifications of a forgotten check out. CS says it's an app issue, reinstalling doesn't help. Now I just deleted the app, it's just to annoying. When are you getting the basics right?

Hello R.S., This was related to a setting in your profile when you're logged in. However, in the upcoming version this will be fixed. CS was indeed right, the forgotten check-out service wasn't working properly. (Which was trying to remind you not to forget your check-out that time).
