Ratings and reviews

Look elsewhere for paid for plans. Revolut used to offer a great service. Then they abruptly changed the terms of their Metal plan, significantly scaling back the benefits and also adding lots of conditions -- such as the demand you pay for 75% of your accommodation and travel with your Revolut card in order for the travel insurance to be valid. With all tnew conditions, I imagine it'll be difficult to make a claim if you ever get into trouble. I would advise people to look at other options.

Awful bank. The app is super complicated and weird to use, especially compared to the simplicity of Monzo. Then I've recently been upgraded to some premium plan that I didn't want, and now they're charging me £18 in fees to cancel! It's blatantly a way of trapping people into paying for expensive plans. Once this is sorted I definitely won't be returning. Even the trading side is awful-huge commission fees both buying and selling side. Jack of all trades, awful (not master) at all.

The app is OK and the exchange rate is OK, but they are quite sneaky, I don't think most people notice but when your default account is low or empty they advertise a good rate, but when you then transfer 💱 money into your account to make an exchange the rate drops considerably. I'm aware that rates fluctuate but I've transfered money to and from my savings account with them 4 times in a minute and every time I have money available I'm offered a lower 👇 rate
