The premise of this app is great - I am using it to learn French. The conversational subjects are very useful and relevant to actually travelling to the country and the cultural aspects are great to learn too. The only thing that lets this app down is the incredibly poor and frustrating speech recognition. Most of the time it marks a fail before I have even had time to speak. I have taken to skipping through all spoken answers. Which is very counterproductive when learning a language!!

If you can find a discount price (I got a lifetime subscription for substantially less) then it's worth it. The content itself is definitely working and feels more robust and useful than Duolingo. Just don't waste your time tracking activities or streaks. The app is at best buggy and it rarely acknowledges either on a consistent basis. (And "tech support" is laughably bad. They couldn't care less.) But still worth the price if you can find it on sale. Update 6/30/24. Support remains useless.

No option to correct mistakes when practising, no ability to practise unless platform selects words for you, navigation tricky, in app keyboard uncomfortable and far too sensitive. Use browser version if you can. EDIT: The user interface wasade decent for a bit, then really ugly (same for the website). Easier to use, still problematic, still can’t report anything (e.g., ‘turnip’ translated to Danish as ‘kålrabi’).
