When you're done, simply park the car anywhere in the Home Area of your city. It’s as simple as that.

WEEKEND ROAD TRIPS
Got plans? You can rent our free-floating cars at hourly rates. We also do medium-length road trips from just a single day to a whole weekend - get out into nature or visit your favourite shopping outlet. You’re in charge.

WEEK-LONG CAR RENTAL
Car-sharing is also ideal for longer trips of up to 30 days for holiday travel. You can keep a car for yourself for longer (you pay per km) and take the stress of out renting a car. Roam freely outside of the Home Area and adventure beyond the city limits. We also offer pre-booking for longer trips. Tell us when and where you want your car – and we'll take care of the rest.

Ratings and reviews

Since the last update, the map is completely blank and it does not show the streets, making impossible to understand where the cars are located. Edit: now you cannot even edit your personal details because the app always returns a blank page with an error upon opening the "Edit profile" section. Is this Company going under or what?

customer support was not helpful when saying that the app was not working to unlock the car (had to open the trunk) and I lost time because of that, and they normally give me a voucher to make up for the time lost... seems that Free2move has changed this service. I might go to Sixt share more often (there the vouchers also don't expire so quickly) I have used car2go since a long time (been diamond as well for a long time...), the company is definitely changed towards a worse service...

I couldn't close the trip because it asked me, at 1 AM in the morning to charge the car. I called the operator, and he refused to close the trip. I found a charger and plug-in, it started charging but I couldn't end the trip. The app says keys are not in the car. Keys where in the glove compartment Second call, operator refused to close the trip. I followed his advice step by step for 1 hour. At 2 AM and 4 calls later he finally ended trip. - 30 days later company wants 100 euro from me
