Stream everything from the public broadcaster on your Android device. In this app you will find NPO Start and NPO Plus. Watch live or stream the best Dutch series, documentaries and reality series. Everything from the public broadcaster appears online for free in this app shortly after broadcast.

Please note: this app was completely updated in November 2023!

The application has the following functionalities for Android 7.0 and higher:

Streaming: stream endless homegrown reality, documentary and fiction series

Missed: Search and find programs you missed

Watch live: watch NPO 1, 2 and 3 and the digital theme channels live

Watch further: the app remembers where you left off in a program, so you can continue watching at another time

Chromecast: watch videos via Chromecast on your television

Also good to know:

If you use an Android version older than 7.0, the entire app will not be available

Due to rights, some programs and theme channels may not be viewable from abroad

If you use a non-original Android version such as Cyanogenmod, we cannot guarantee the operation of the app

Ratings and reviews

The redesign is pretty bad. No information about upcoming shows. 'Live now' section isn't actual, it's lagging some days. A lot of things aren't working like you expect them to be. The view of what's on is really bad like this. Did they even test this update? Update, 4 months have passed; Still very, very bad. Now a new thing came up: watching stuff is on like 20% brightness on Chromecast (newest). I'm cancelling my subscription.

Terrible app. Developed by amateurs. You can't save shows to your watch list. You can't access shows you've previously watched to continue watching except using the search function. You can't get easily to the next episode; you have to return to the show, find the next episode, then click, then click again. You need Chromecast to watch on your smart TV. Not even worth the 3 euro monthly charge. This is a pity as there are some good British shows on there. If you can find them, that is.

Very poor functionality, especially for an app with paid membership.. The app gets messed up and closes the video if you jump between apps, or if you try to split screen and do something else on another part of the screen (such never happens with YouTube for example). When watching series, you always need to remember by YOURSELF what the last episode was because the history/favorites are also super messed up. And why do I need this app then??? Very 👎👎👎👎
