-- I've never used the app before. How do I start?
Tap the 'Install' button on the screen to download the app. Once downloaded, simply follow the instructions on screen. From there, all you'll need are your Nationwide account details or debit card and card reader and the app will help you finish setting up.

My app isn’t downloading
If your app isn’t downloading or seems to be stuck, to fix it:

1. Go to your phone’s settings and choose Apps > Google Play Store > Force stop
2. Then choose Storage > Clear cache
3. Try the update again.

Since the latest update there is an intermittent bug on the Settings page. At times it's impossible to scroll down to the foot of the page to the Log Out option - the page just springs back to the top; other times it works OK. And on the subject of the Log Out, why on earth is it hidden at the foot of the Settings page? It should be much more prominent and easier to find. This is a banking app, so security should be top priority.

Horrible app and bank. I switched recently for £175 offer but its not worth it. First of all, the bank and app is still stuck in 2010. If you want to move money, they require you to put card into card reader and if you get it wrong 3x, they'll lock it and you have to go to cash machine. Also, if you forgot pin, there's no option in the app to reset. You've to wait for the letter which takes a week. They need to upgrade their systems in line with other banks.

Every time I pay I need to verify a visa transaction, the app says I need to delete and update it. When doing this I then need to re enter all my personal information including an account number and sort code. When out and about trying to verify a £1.70 car park charge with no signal it is more than a little inconvenient. I'm starting to get very fed up with it now. Never used to have these problems. Been with Nationwide for 20+ years.
