I've been using the AP app on my Galaxy S23 Plus for over a year and a half. I originally rated it 5 stars due to it's unbiased, In-depth reporting on national news, entertainment and sports. I've changed my rating to 3 stars because over the last 3 or 4 months the app has been crashing while I'm reading an article and not even touching the screen. I've tried updating it to the latest version, uninstalling and reinstalling it, etc. and it keeps crashing. Please fix this bug.

Edit: They keep changing this back and forth, and I'm done. Allow us to turn this feature off and I might start using the app again. For now, I'm uninstalling. Seriously considering uninstalling this since the recent update made ads and videos play, with sound, every time I open the app. I can't find any way to turn this feature off, and you can't mute the videos - you have to turn off the sound on your phone altogether if you want to use the app without intrusive noise. Unusable this way.

Hi Katharine, Autoplaying videos with sound on should not be occurring. We are working to resolve this. If you have the time, please reach out to appsupport@apnews.com with details. We appreciate the feedback.

Latest Update: *Can no longer zoom in on pictures. (This was fixed earlier, but broken again.) *Font size is massively large on the text of stories. The byline is a normal size, the stories are unreadable. * Sound no longer works on videos. Impossible for anyone in a disaster area to use this app. It requires too much power and bandwidth to get any actual news from it. Please consider releasing a lite version. This version just keeps getting worse.
