Ratings and reviews

The core functionality of Notion itself is quite nice. Lots of robust tooling and a pleasant UI. The experience with the app has had too many breaking bugs. Notes that load as blank screens or finicky focus interactions with the keyboard (especially when triggering voice input). The last update seems to have completely broken the app for me. Nothing saves, new notes don't work, backpacking through a checkbox drops the keyboard and undoes the deletion.

I love the "nesting" and organizational features of Notion, which is why I switched over from Evernote. UPDATE 2024: problems below have been fixed! However, if my internet is even slightly spotty in any way, it will delete everything I just wrote. The amount of frustration this causes really can't be overstated. Also as others have mentioned, it's slow and uploading images often doesn't work. Sometimes it can't even function as "read only" because the note never loads.

I’m only writing this because I really like this app, and it deserves a five-star rating—except for this one super frustrating issue that I REALLY need to see fixed. When copying and pasting other documents, it either jumps the cursor down and leaves a blank space, or it only pastes the first paragraph and cuts off the rest of my writing. It’s really annoying and messes up my flow. Please, fix this. Otherwise, I love the app!"
