King County Metro Flex is an on-demand neighborhood transit service. Use your phone to ride anywhere in your service area for the same cost as a bus trip.

Use your phone to tell Metro Flex where you are and where you want to go. You’ll receive a nearby pick-up location for a Metro Flex vehicle only a short walk away.

It just takes a minute to book your ride! The app will send you an approximate arrival time for your Metro Flex vehicle.

AFFORDABLE

Metro Flex costs the same as a Metro bus trip. And with your ORCA card, you can transfer for free to or from a bus or Sound Transit Link light rail. You can also pay with a Transit GO Ticket or credit/debit card. Youth up to age 18 ride free.

...It's consistently 20 or more. And when you do get a ride, you're sent all around the city before they drop you off despite being the first picked up and the closest to drop off. EDIT: 1/9/24 Alongside that rides in my city still are 25+ minute waits all day, the app also consistently crashes, especially when you already have a car, making it impossible to see how far your 40 minute wait car actually is. So not just slow pickups, but don't even have the decency to not have a broken app.

most unreliable service and app there is. you can't find a ride in tukwila without having to book the ride ahead 30+ minutes, and even then that's being generous. if I can give this multiple 1 star reviews or even 0 stars, I'd do it in a heartbeat. you can't rely on this service for the daily commute because they won't even be able to pick you up on time more than half the time. metro flex needs to do better, I have no idea how they're still up and running because they shouldn't be at this point

Too many engagement notifications -- I installed the app because every so often I'm in the service area, but 90% of the time I'm not. But it keeps sending me notifications to give it a try. It doesn't seem to give me a way to disable engagement/marketing notifications without disabling all notifications, but I want ride notifications for when the time comes to use it.
