Ratings and reviews

Great in zero service, never had an issue. Husband and I both use this for every hike we do. Map layers are helpful, especially since we live in the mountains for snow cover on hikes. It took 8 months of using the app before I realized there's a feature to plan a hike! You can select a beginning and end point and it will give mileage and topography, which is great for planning hikes. You can even edit the hike if you forgot to turn it off I love being able to see all of my hikes on the map too.

Awesome, must have for people into gps maps who want to do some route finding. Edit: This was a really awesome app, but for reasons that are completely incomprehensible to me, they devs have ruined the best feature. You used to be able to easily and quickly create routes that would snap to the contours of the trail. Now, the feature either works jankily, doesn't work at all, or the path snaps to a line diverging from the trail randomly. I am canceling my premium subscription.

I like this app and have paid for premium for a couple years. unfortunately the price keeps increasing without adding features I actually use, and some of the features such as search seem to be getting worse. it seems the product direction is going towards targeting a different market. I really just need gps maps offline. I'll try caltopo and see if it fits my needs; my understanding is that app is not trying to do too much.
