FordPass offers the ability to manage your vehicle right from your phone:

• Send convenient remote commands – Lock, unlock, and start your vehicle using complimentary remote vehicle controls (1) – when equipped with FordPass® Connect (2)
• Electric vehicle ownership support – Monitor charging progress and use Departure Times to pre-condition your battery and cabin (3)
• FordPass feature availability varies by vehicle and country. Images shown for illustrative purposes only

(1) Remote lock/unlock requires power door locks. Remote starting requires automatic transmission.
(2) FordPass Connect (optional on select vehicles), the FordPass App and complimentary Connected Service are required for remote features (see FordPass Terms for details). Connected service and features depend on compatible network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features. Connected service excludes Wi-Fi hotspot.
(3) Effectiveness of cabin conditioning may be reduced by extreme outside temperatures

The new version is terrible!!! I like the new slide to start the car, which seems to respond better than the old press and hold, which wouldn't always recognize the press before. Beyond that, it is awful! The location feature is useless. Apparently, my car drove across the globe to another continent & is currently a few hundred miles into the ocean in just 30 minutes. Just prior to that, it was saying my car was still in my driveway, which it most certainly is not. Please fix this!

The location button only works 1% of the time after the big app redesign. First the button didn't work at all, now you can click it... but it doesn't update the location frequently enough. We tried to use it to find where we parked in a large parking area, and it showed the car parked at a fast food location we were at 6 HOURS AGO. Also the email for app support is not monitored.

New App version is terrible, the old version would let you view terms and conditions, see your warranty information. You could use all of you vehicles features, such as the trailer light tester, perimeter lights, pro-power, just to name a few. The new update has removed all of the information away and taken all of the additional functions away from the app. If they return these features the new layout is fine but without having the features the app is worthless.
