The app requires permission to send notifications and set alarms on my phone. I don't want the app to change anything on my phone, but if I don't give permission to change the alarm, it doesn't work. On iPhone, the API does not provide access to the alarm, and the app works without it. On Android, tracking stops working if you only give permission to access your location.

it is the most widely used tracking app and it used to work great. the thing that grinds my gears is the app has 1 method to stop tracking when it goes rogue and trips itself. the 3 dots when looking at a broker tracking drops a menu. select pause track and it brings up another menu that at the end has end tracking button, but I click it and done and the spinny confused buffer wheel spins forever as if it doesn't understand. i have to go to location settings now and force it to stop tracking me.

Zero stars for my complaint, 5 stars due the rest of the app. It reassures you that it'll only track you while using the app/ while under a load. However, it will only function if you select "Allow all the time" in the permission. Something you and Google need to work out. No you do not have my permission to track me all the time and once more I'm signing your user agreement under duress. Correct, it's a trust issue and tech companies have consistently proven they get data breached. 🙄

Yea it’s an annoying thing. We use background processing to keep the pings consistent while on a load so the app does not need to be up and in the foreground. Having that capability requires the “Always” permission. We don’t use any locations that occur when you are not assigned to a load and realize it’s a trust issue. We will continue to innovate
