Ratings and reviews

The vehicle used was decent. The actual app and booking a vehicle, adding options, was a disaster. First vehicle was canceled. I was offered another one but it didn't have unlimited mileage. Once I brought that up, they added unlimited mileage to the 2nd vehicle. I wanted the vehicle dropped off at 1 Water Street which the first vehicle was going to cost $45 for this service but the second vehicle they were going to charge $50. Accommodated after I complained. There's not enough rm 2 write more.

1st time renting from Turo, only issues was some disconnect between the app and the website, esp when communicating with the host. I prefer to use the PC, but certain features don't exist there, and my messages to host went unanswered until I used the app. Overall a great experience, once I sorted out needing to use the app instead of the website.

I've used Turo twice and have had reasonably good experiences, however I recently learned that many insurance companies (including mine, Amica) specifically exclude coverage if I have an accident with a Turo rental due to its classification as a rideshare. Many credit cards have similar exclusions meaning your only option is their (very expensive) add-on insurance which just meets state minimums. For that reason I won't be using the service again. Do your homework and be careful.
