Terrible customer service! I’d been using them for over a year when I suddenly woke up to a locked account after endless random verifications. They gave me no explanation, so I don't even know if something sketchy happened. I tried reaching out, but they just emailed me saying the decision was final. I didn't do anything wrong. Good thing there are a million other apps to use since these guys are so unreliable.

The app works great for sending money from the US to Kenya. Exchange rate is cool. And there is no fee. What ruined overall impression is very annoying continuous notification to share the app with friends. And even when you turn off this notification in settings it chases you indefinitely on the app screen. Very annoying.

⭐ 1/5 — Terrible experience. I tried sending money to my friend in India, and Remitly put my transaction on hold. They called me for verification, I answered all their questions, and they told me to wait 24 hours. The next morning, my payment was paused again and eventually canceled. Why make me go through all that verification just to cancel it anyway? Very frustrating customer service and a complete waste of time. TapTap Send has been much easier and better for me.
