Ticket to Earth was fun and had a very engaging story. It's a game developed with love, and it shines. That said, I have to be honest and admit that, as a game, it is not well designed. The balance is in general very poor: skills are either OP and useless, levels are at first very difficult and too easy by the end, etc. There are some grindy mechanics, having to repeat levels just to collect resources, etc. But, as I said, all in all I liked it a lot, and would recommend playing it!

Great game. I actually finished the whole thing, and after weighing it in, I'd say this is 4* because of three things: game is bit too easy, music just repeats itself ad-nauseum (probably about 5 or so BGM for the whole game; reused and recycled), and there's no end-game after the credits roll. You can replay past missions to get tokens, but there's no sense in doing those if there's no more new content after finishing the game. Other than these three things, everything else is sublime!

First things first, I've played this game for several days now and have not seen a single pay wall, it is simply a single player game with what appears to be no microtransactions. The game itself is beautiful, lovely map and character design, a great art direction. The gameplay is unique, if a little basic - you simply move around a grid and fight enemies as you would in any tactical RPG. However, the movement rules are unique compared to most. Story good. End of word count for review.
