The news aside, the lack of dark mode when reading the comments in addition to the copious amount of ads every 3-4 short paragraphs that are videos/animations make the reading experience very impractical. Human eyes are drawn to movement, it makes it too distracting to focus on the article. I usually position the text/skip ads so I can focus on the articles. If I see someone advertising here, distracting the audience for profit I am 100% not going to buy their product/service.

Just love the writing style - it's English at its best. And the variety of content is excellent. Outstanding written English, and I advise all my students to read it for that reason alone. In an era where typographical and grammatical errors are now common, WAPO. stands as a beacon. I live in Australia and your publication provides a balanced look on many topics, and not just US ones. For example, the sections on food and movies and nature etc are all exceptional.

Hi Peter, sorry you are having trouble staying signed in. We would very much like to resolve your issue. If you go to the app, tap settings, then tap Contact Us, we can get more details for troubleshooting. Also, if you tap the version number in settings 10 times, a dialog will show with UUID at the bottom. Reply back here with the value of UUID.

The app is mostly fine but has one but that is just unacceptable: I get the briefing email (The 7). Sometimes clicking the links attempts to launch the Samsung Internet Browser instead of the system default one (Brave). It used to try to launch Chrome belt I uninstalled it. It seems that they are trying to actively avoid using Brave, which again, is the system default. Totally unacceptable.
