AP used to function just fine on my Samsung Galaxy Z6 Flip. Now, when I open the app, the homepage works fine, but if I click on an article to read, the app freezes and will not scroll up or down. After a few seconds of trying to scroll, it will simply crash. I've checked for updates, uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache and data, and always get the same results. I guess I'm on the hunt for another reliable news source with a functional app.

Very difficult to navigate new version of the app. It used to list top stories in order, and when I rec'd a notification of breaking news I could simply select that notification and the story would appear. Now it just takes you to the landing page and an unrelated story. Several times I have had to Google the first words of the notification to find the AP story online instead of using the app. Quite frustrating and annoying. Why did they change from the previous version?

Regarding just the app: it NEEDS custom notification settings. If I'm being inundated with notifications and can't choose what I want to see, I'm disinclined to read any of it. I want to choose what I care about the most. Instead, I had to turn off ALL notifications. News is important, but only when you can actually read it.

This update fixes a bug where notification category selections were being reverted and notifications not being received. We've also brought some more polish to the UI, made a few small updates to the widgets, and squashed some bugs.
