Ratings and reviews

This app used to be great, used it from 2010 until 2025. Sadly it has become more of an annoyance than a help the past few years. The user interface is still intuitive and good-looking, but the navigation is terrible. It will send you across all the small roads it can find to shave half a minute off your drive, even if those roads are low speed, only wide enough for 1 car or riddled with speed bumps. All that, and the geo-political situation where this app was created. Switching to alternatives.

A great missing feature in this app is the average speed when a portion of the traject is controlled. You have already the speed and it is so easy to implement the average speed! I don't think you understand the difference between speed and average speed. Voice alert and visual is NOT an average speed display on the screen!!! =>"Waze shows you your live speed while driving. Currently, it doesn't calculate or show your average speed."

I've been a Waze user for years and it's definitely the best mapping software for driving, but that doesn't make it perfect. The voice commands for reporting aren't great and only provide limited capability. The responses are annoying and make you only want to turn them off completely (which is why I have all notifications muted). Good app, but not perfect.
