Material design is visually pleasing and allows for a uniform design language across Google's apps and services. This app, while aesthetically well done, is lacking in terms of practicality. For example, I cannot figure out how to highlight more than one email at a time, and that's assuming it's even possible to do so right now. For someone that receives a lot of email, the only option is to do it manually. With adult attention spans becoming shorter, this isn't a welcome feature(or lack thereof).
I loved the new look, but my windows live account doesn't seem to work the way it should. It allows me to delete the live mails and yet they are back in the inbox after a few seconds. Deleted mails vanish from the bin and reappear in the inbox giving me annoying new mail notifications. Not sure why. Synchronization bugs?
Can't swipe to delete (why not?) Bulk management is annoyingly touchy - works about 50% of the time; the rest of the time it opens the email (so frustrating!). A nice swipe left for delete or right for archive would be nice. Going back to Blue Mail for a while. Update: all mail in menu says 99+ messages. When I open it is says there's nothing there.
sucks force closes every time I try to change notification sound. tried uninstall, still crap... and I don't need to troubleshoot this crap!!! all after update! and get no reply what so ever..
Easy to check emails without using laptop. Lost my internet provider and rely solely on phone for now. Must have for me. Easy to move emails from other categories to primary. Very rare for spam to get thru & easy to report. Just like lap top. Thanks guys!
The app has significantly improved over the years, adding many of the features I'm used to from a browser experience. There's not anything else I could want from an emailing app, from being able to use the same app for work email and personal email and all having the same look and feel. The app works great over wifi and cellular data and even filters spam well.
