...I really hate the red header bar on the widget and after clearing the trash folder, message reads; "no trash here, thanks for recycling". Do you even know what recycling is? If it's possible to recycle digital information, I guess Google does that by reading our emails and using the information contained within to suit its commercial needs.
I 've been missing many high priority emails due to notification issues with this app. Notifications not just come sporadically, they also come just when i log in on my gmail account in my desktop... disappointing issue.. as you lose the advantages of being able to answer emails promptly on transit...
I love gmail. Many great features. I would like to see more filter options for folders. The only problem I find is the failure to save my new draft emails into the checked folders, labels, or even save the "Mark important" Option. I have to remember to go find my last few sent emails and then once sent I am able to move into folders, labels, star for important.
This version doesn't show email notifications in the notification bar. Nor does it audibly alert you to new emails. Also push email is slow or doesn't work at all. I don't understand why Google can't make their original service work on Android. Seems every GMail update brings new disasters with it. What a shame.
On the Huawei P9 this app is unfortunately unreliable. With almost every use it freezes and menu options (archive, delete, mark unread etc) disappear from top bar. Upon closing and restarting app it functions properly for a while.
It would be nice to be able to contact someone when you have an issue that can't be resolved through their self help section. I have had the same problem for three weeks without any resolution & after several attempts of reaching an actual useful person from Google/Gmail.
