Ratings and reviews

Need to improve: 1- The messages informing distances to turn. There's a glitch on it. 2- Allow the user to choose an option (distance or time) to hear a message before turns. I prefer to hear the messages based on time before a notification. For example: if I hear that I should turn in 50 meters but I'm in a traffic jam, this message worth nothing. By the other hand, if I hear the message 5 seconds before the event it would be great.

I've been a Waze user for years and it's definitely the best mapping software for driving, but that doesn't make it perfect. The voice commands for reporting aren't great and only provide limited capability. The responses are annoying and make you only want to turn them off completely (which is why I have all notifications muted). Good app, but not perfect.

Waze is a good navigation app ONLY IF you can maintain it ALWAYS online. Waze can't work properly while offline: it hangs constantly, it does not make a good use of caching, it changes the route unexpectedly when you make a turn. When you miss 3g/4g connectivity, Waze does not reconnect itself when you are online again, even if online for a long time (it's a long-term bug, always "searching for network"). Also, the sound is not good when using Bluetooth audio, it is too low and does not let you chance the audio channel for compatibility with different cars' media centers. I hope Google does not slowly kill Waze in favor of Google Maps. Today, Waze is not trustworthy for offline navigation. I've already switched to Google Maps and TomTom Go.
