It was a good app, but no more. Worked really well for years, camera/photo function was very useful, overall it was the best translating app I'd come across. In June 2025 it seems to have undergone a massive change, totally different look and feel, camera translate doesn't work, crashes constantly, has rendered itself pointless to me.

Very basic translations. Verbs area translated as nouns. If you don't already have a decent knowledge of a given language it is of no use. Vocabulary is quite limited and if a word isn't known by this translator it puts the original word also as the translated word which, of course, is nonsense. I tried certain words or expressions to and fro English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. Today it seems to me that your translator has even gotten worse. Why not just leave it to specialists?

This app's conversation function was amazing, especially in school settings with so many languages in one classroom. I have a friend that speak Egyptian Arabic and it translated the context very well while it also translated to Russian and Spanish and Dutch at the same time. Unfortunately the conversation function no longer works. It's writes it all in English. I saw many complaints from educators with no response from Microsoft. It's super disappointing it's not supported anymore.
